Air Balancing
It's not uncommon to find a system 30% to 50% low on airflow. Air passes through the equipment and carries the heating or cooling inside. The effectiveness of the equipment is entirely dependent on the amount of airflow. When your Air-Wise certified technician measures the airflow they can "see" system performance.
With this information they can diagnose, repair and balance the duct system for maximum system performance. The end result is rooms that are the same temperature, cleaner air, better humidity control and real energy savings.

Duct Sealing
On average, 20% of the air moving through your air conditioning and heating duct system is lost due to leaks, holes and poor connections. These leaks in your air conditioning and heating system’s air ducts can waste as much as 35% of your system’s operating costs.
Leaky ducts can introduce unwanted air from crawl spaces and attics, and can contribute to a host of respiratory and allergy related health problems.
Sealing and cleaning your home’s duct system can save energy and money, and improve the quality of the air that you breathe inside your home.

Thermal Scans
Thermal imaging uses infrared scanning technology to show where your home is losing heat. The image gives levels of heat in different colors, showing the areas where heat loss is costing you money. By analyzing heat loss, Air Wise can take steps to help you save energy and reduce costs. Common areas of heat loss are around windows and doors, attics and garages, and any un-insultated walls or ceilings.

Thermostat Calibration
Your thermostat controls your home or office heating and cooling system. If your thermostat is not in calibration or does not display the actual temperature than your heating and cooling system may operate longer than it needs to and inturn cause your energy bills to be higher.
Checking the calibration of your thermostat will help maintain a comfortable temperature and reduce energy cost.

Flex Duct and Register Installation
Your duct system provides a path for the warm or cool air to reach each space of your home or office. Without this ducted path the air will more than likely not reach all of the areas that need to be heated or cooled. Each room should have at least one register and if the room is large than it may require multiple registers. After your home or office is balanced there may be areas that still need more air but the duct system is lacking the correct size or amount of registers required to allow the proper airflow to be delivered to each space. By adding more registers or repairing your duct system you will allow the heating and cooling system to operate more efficiently.
